On Saturday, June 13, Bonus Parkorman welcomes two giants of the modern rock and indie scene: Kasabian and Two Door Cinema Club!
About Kasabian:
Kasabian is a British rock band formed in 1997 in Sergio Pizzorno’s room in Leicester. Kasabian consists of Serge Pizzorno on vocals, Chris Edwards on bass guitar, Ian Matthews on drums, and Tim Carter on guitar. The band has achieved great success, reaching number one on the UK album charts seven times in a row; they have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and have been streamed over 1.5 billion times on Spotify alone. Winners of numerous awards including the BRIT, NME, Mojo, and Q Awards, Kasabian have also been nominated for prestigious events such as the Mercury Prize and MTV VMAs. They have headlined major festivals worldwide, including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Isle of Wight, and Victorious.
Kasabian’s surprise concert at Glastonbury in 2024 generated such excitement that the tent had to be closed hours in advance for crowd safety.
In the summer of 2024, the band’s eighth studio album and seventh number one hit, Happenings, was released to great acclaim. Their latest single, Hippie Sunshine, was released in September 2025. Their ninth album, ACT III, will be released in the spring of 2026.
About Two Door Cinema Club:
Bangor and Donaghadee-based Northern Ireland band Two Door Cinema Club first caught attention with their debut album Tourist History, featuring guitar-driven post-punk melodies blended with dance rhythms and electronic touches, including songs like “What You Know,” “Something Good Can Work,” and “Undercover Martyn.” Released in 2010, the album reached number one on the Irish charts.
Two Door Cinema Club consists of vocalist/guitarist/programmer Alex Trimble, guitarist/vocalist Sam Halliday, and bassist/vocalist Kevin Baird. Their first EP, Four Words to Stand On, released independently in January 2009, received positive reviews and gained significant momentum in the blogosphere, particularly with the standout track “Something Good Can Work.”
Following Tourist History, the band continued to evolve musically; their second album, Beacon, released in 2012, reached number 2 on the UK charts. The subsequent albums Gameshow, False Alarm, and Keep on Smiling entered the UK Top 10, cementing the band’s place on the global stage and making Two Door Cinema Club a fixture at major international festivals.
The band embarked on a sold-out 30-date amphitheater tour in the US in 2024, concluding the year with another sold-out arena tour in Australia and an impressive performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House. “What You Know” was recently honored by Spotify for reaching 1 billion streams worldwide.
